Best Men's Soap Ever -
Nubian Black African Soap

96% of a our readers are men, but regardless of your anatomy - you are going to love this soap.

Long story short (I'll expand on this later) -

It's not only the best bar soap for your body but it can be used to wash your face - I no longer use any face wash.

The soap looks kind of funny (it's black with pieces of oatmeal in it), but it is literally like washing your face with a high-end lotion that smells like a clean beach.

I guarantee that the vast majority of you guys will like it.

Most guys will drop the body wash and face wash for this soap. I did and I haven't looked back. (July 2015)

A few weeks ago (2013), I ran into this amazing soap when I jumped into my roommate's shower (they are girls) -

  • Amazing African Black Soap
(check out the ratings - it's a hidden gem)

(I get a 4-5% commission if you purchase - about $.75-1.00 in most cases)

Though it looks completely odd (black soap?), it's literally like washing yourself with expensive lotion - it's actually made with coconut oil, palm oil and shea butter.
(black people love shea butter)

I was surprised.

According to Kelli (she's the cute blonde that sometimes helps out with the seasonal fashion guides), this soap is excellent for ALL skin types.

Dry, oily, sensitive, acne prone, black, white, homosexual, scientologist - it doesn't matter what your ethnicity is.

You can use it on your face - I do so aggressively in the shower.
(I don't use any face wash anymore)

Both she and some of the other girls in the house use it on their face (attractive women are VERY PARTICULAR about what they put on their face).

From the description -

"Heritage African Black Soap, made from palm ash, tamarind extract, tar and plantain peel has been used in Africa for centuries to treat eczema, acne, oily skin, psoriasis, and other skin ailments."

This soap is will clear your skin and moisturize it.

Buy the soap... Buy the soap... I use the money to support my opium habit.Buy the soap... Buy the soap... I use the money to support my opium habit.

Unlike most "hippie" soaps - this natural soap actually can be worked into a solid lather even though it DOES NOT contain sodium laurel sulfate.

It's inexpensive too.
(Call me a crusty old man but I have always preferred bar soap to body wash - because it tends to last WAY longer)

The soap contains little oatmeal flakes that help exfoliate the skin and clear away dead skin cells.

My skin is always pretty clear but tends to get pretty dry in the middle of summer and winter (the West Coast is really dry).

With this soap, in combination with something else I've been using (I'll tell you soon), my skin hasn't been flaking and I don't even have use lotion. This soap is the moisturizer.

It's hard to communicate "how it smells," but I'd say it is close to the just-got-off-the-beach smell.

Tropical beach sunset

Not sweaty. Not like completely like suntan lotion - just "beachy".

I consider this a great smell.
(I'm partial to that smell. I remember it back to as early as 2001 - from the incredible feeling I'd get after meeting a hot girl on the beach and knowing we'd be hooking up later that night)

Couple that with the Official Good Looking Loser Cologne (mad inexpensive too) and you'll be the best smelling human and the other lesser, inferior humans will know it.

More importantly, this soap has a lot of quality and healthful ingredients that mainstream soaps simply do not have-

African Black Soap (Base), Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Plantain Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Vegetable Glycerin, Mineral Pigment, Vegetable Color, Essential Oil Blend

nubian-black-african-soapFor the record, I have no idea how useful it will against acne. I never had that issue. I imagine it would as good if not better than any natural topical agent. Acne, like hair loss and other DHT-based conditions, happens from the inside-out. It is rare that topical treatments make much of a difference. But it's certainly worth a try.

I'm by no means a cosmetologist but I have a good idea of what does/doesn't clear up dry skin and what masculine guys will benefit from while not feeling like a homosexual.

I'm sure you'll like this and you may never buy another type of shower soap again.

I introduced this soap to Victor Pride, he agrees and recommends it as the best soap for men as well -

Read this a few months ago, then a few weeks ago, I bit the bullet and bought some. Ho-lee shit.
I've got a ruddy, dry, splotchy complexion, but since using it daily, I haven't needed to use any moisturizers except on my hands (chronically dry because of my job history), and it's also helped to even out the splotchiness and sped up the healing of small cuts and faded scars, too. Lathers so well that a little goes a long way (that lather is like rubbing whipped cream all over yourself).

I've been using it as a shampoo bar, too. Whirl it around a few times on my head, and it works into a super creamy lather that's eliminated my dandruff and brought out these cool reddish-purple highlights in my dark brown hair.

This is the best soap in the world, never going back to Old Spice or Head & Shoulders ever again. Thanks so much for the rec Chris.

Hi Chris, did you try other soaps from Nubian. All of their soaps seem to have good ratings, any opinion ?

Afro-Black is the best - by far. The others are decent, I've tried 3or4 others . But this one is significantly better in every capacity in my opinion.

Does it make anyones skin feel dry when you're in the shower? I got some but didn't use it on my face because of how my arms etc felt?

We'll see though, I think I'm going to turn it into a liquid soap for easier application.

Yep, I tried this soap and it looks like I'm set for life as far as soap goes, really awesome stuff and everyone that has ever touched it loves it, as for acne I've tested that and I'd say it's somewhere between 50%-80% effective as in rather than 10 pimples you have 2-5 with the best responders that have used it consistently for a while having 2 and the not as good responders that haven't used it much have 5.
the only thing I haven't figured out is how long to leave the lather on my skin.

This soap is the best bargain you can get. I feel tremendous difference compared with your usual "white" soap. It might not heal acne but when used reguarly it can help with yout trouble areas. The face after wash is not dry or tight, it feels very natural and fresh. Moreover, the smell is quite good.

I bought like 6 bars from internet pharmacy :D thx Chris.

I really like the soap and not having to use face wash or a loofah has cut my shower time as well. My face feels "squeaky clean" and it doesnt get over dry. I still use a facial moisturizer though

I used this soap for half a year for acne and seen no results, but everyone's skin is different.

I'm using Giovanni Body Bar which has charcoal and volcanic ash in it and seeing amazing results. I've been using it for 2 months now.

I also wear an organic vitamin c renewel cream to bed and having results with that too. The cream costs a lot though...$15 for 2oz.
